Escamillo had a dream start as a sire: ten sons from his first crop of foals were licensed in Germany, among them the Hanoverian premium stallion and 700,000 Euro Stallion Market top price Energy, the Westphalian Reserve Champion Stallion Escaneno and two promising young stars Escanto PS and Expectation PS.

He has now sired over 33 licensed sons, Bundeschampionat winning mare Evissa, multiple stallion test winners - Escanto PS, Eleven HW, Escaneno. 

 

“It was fantastic! Very good horse, very good riding”, was the comment of the judges on Escamillo's performance at the World Championships for young dressage horses in 2021 in Verden. With the Spanish rider Manuel Dominguez Bernal, who rides for Helen Langehanenberg's yard, the stallion scored 9.2 for his elastic, diligent and already very well balanced trot, 9.0 for his energetic canter with a pronounced suspension phase and 9.5 for his almost perfect walk with a lot of swing through the body. The judges gave the score of 9.5 for his light and even contact, his smooth transitions, the wide crossing in the half-passes and the very confident and powerful upward flying changes, just as they did for the potential of this dressage highlight.

 

Escamillo began his career as premium stallion at his licensing in 2017 in Verden, passed his 14-day test in 2018 with a dressage score of 9.08 and completed his sport test in 2020 with Helen Langehanenberg with a winning score of 9.36. Ridden by the Olympic team silver medallist, he also qualified for the German Championships for young dressage horses as a five-year-old with 9.5. In 2021, with Manuel Dominguez Bernal, he won the intermediate (M) level dressage test for young horses in Haftenkamp with a score of 8.8 (also qualifier for the German Championships for six-year-olds).

 

His sire, the Westphalian and double German Champion Escolar, was placed in the final of the Burg Cup, the final of the Louisdor Prize and at the German Championships with the Olympic Champion and riding master Hubertus Schmidt/GER. They were part of the German Olympic squad.

 

His dam Verb.Pr.St. Cassila is the full-sister of the licensed stallions Romanist (advanced S* level dressage) and Romeo Niro (intermediate M** level dressage).

 

His grand-sire Rohdiamant was German Champion in 1993 and competed at Grand Prix level with Lisa Wilcox/USA. Around 50 of his sons have been licensed. His most successful offspring include Valentina Truppa’s/ITA Olympic partner Eremo del Castegno and Helen Langehanenberg’s Responsible OLD.

 

His grand-dam Chantal is the full sister of Dumont/Juliane Brunkhorst/GER and Hartwig Burfeind/GER, licensed stallion and successful in Grand Prix, and her half-brother Aquavit (by Argentinus) is successful in competitions for young show jumping horses.

 

De Niro, Landadel and Zeus also appear in the pedigree.

 

His great-grand-dam St.Pr./El.St. Caruge is the full sister of the licensed stallion Laphroaig/Leporello and produced several state premium mares. Her full sister is no other than the German Champion Mare St.Pr./El.St. C-Dur, who produced four licensed stallions.

Escamillo was the first son of Escolar in 2017, who was presented at a Hanoverian licensing, and he left Verden as a premium stallion!

 

He certainly was one of the most active in this field of Young stallions and was much talked about from the beginning and very popular with the breeders.   His 14-day assessment test in April 2018 in Neustadt / Dosse finished the youngster with a weighted overall score of 8.35 and the dressage-oriented top final score of 9.08. Thus, he was second best in both categories in the 37 stallions comprehensive field. The individual grades: interior 9.00, character / temperament 9.00, motivation 9.00, trot 9.50, canter 9.50, step 8.50, rideability rating committee 9.00, jumping facility free jumping 6.50, rideability guest rider  9.50.   In the 5 year old stallion test, Escamillo received the highest score of 9.36 overall - with scores of 9.0 walk, 9.3 trot, 9.5 canter, 9.5 rideability and 9.5 general impression. 

 

Escamillo's father Escolar is now victorious under Hubertus Schmidt in Grand Prix international sport and impressed as a sire with his first breeding value of 169 points to the top of the FN breeding value estimation.   The mother of Escamillo is the Rohdiamant daughter and Verband premium Mare Cassila, which comes from the famous tribe of Cinderella from Wendeln, one of the best tribes in Germany. Numerous licensed stallions, state premium mares and successful sport horses go to their account. So, for example, Cathy OLD, the 2018 under the saddle of Hermann Gerdes Bundeschampionesse of four-year-old riding horses (mares and geldings) was.   Cassila's dam Chantal (by De Niro) is dam of the two licensed stallions Romanist (* 2007, successful up to dressage of class S *, Prix St. Georges) and Merogonie (* 2005, successful up to dressage of class M **). Both have Rohdiamant as their father.   Chantal's mother Caruge (by Landadel) is among others. Mother of PB Dumont (by De Niro). The Oldenburg born in 1999 was placed in dressage to Kl. S ***.

Escamillo has sired over 33 licensed sons in his first 2 crops of offspring.  He has sired several Premium stallions such as Glock's Energy (Escamillo x De Niro sold for 700,000 Euro), Escaneno (Escamillo x Veneno), Escamillo x Furst Romanicer and Escamillo x Samba Hit II.

Camillas Vater Escolar ist unter Hubertus Schmidt inzwischen siegreich bis Grand Prix international und stürmte als Vererber gleich mit seinem ersten Zuchtwert von 169 Punkten an die Spitze der FN-Zuchtwertschätzung.

 

Die Mutter von Escamillo ist die Rohdiamant-Tochter und Verbandsprämienstute Cassila, die aus dem berühmten Stamm der Cinderella aus dem Hause Wendeln kommt, einem der besten Stämme Deutschlands. Zahlreiche gekörte Hengste, Staatsprämienstuten und erfolgreiche Sportpferde gehen auf ihr Konto. So z.B,auch Cathy OLD, die 2018 unter dem Sattel von Hermann  Gerdes  Bundeschampionesse der vierjährigen Reitpferde (Stuten und Wallache) wurde.

 

Cassilas Mutter Chantal (v. De Niro) ist Mutter der beiden gekörten Hengste Romanist(* 2007, erfolgreich bis Dressur derKlasse S*, Prix St. Georges) und Merogonie (*2005, erfolgreich bis Dressur der Kl.M**). Beide haben Rohdiamant zum Vater.

 

Chantals Mutter Caruge (v. Landadel) ist u.a. Mutter des PB Dumont (v. De Niro). Der 1999 geborene Oldenburger war platziert in der Dressur bis zur Kl. S***.
